At Queen Victoria Hospital, we provide exceptional healthcare services, and we're in search of a dynamic individual to become an integral part of our interdisciplinary team. As a Recreation Therapy Worker | Bus Driver, you'll play a vital role in implementing our established Recreation Therapy Program, focusing on geriatric residents and short-stay clients.
How You Can Make a Difference:
In this dual role, you'll not only be a key contributor to our Recreation Therapy Program but also the friendly face behind the wheel. As a Recreation Therapy Worker, you'll assist residents to/from their programs, lead engaging leisure/recreation therapy activities, and facilitate customized group sessions. Beyond that, your role extends to driving residents on outings, providing a seamless and enjoyable experience for our community members.
Position Information:
This is a relief full time position until the return of incumbent. This position works Monday to Friday from 0800 to 1600 with every second Wednesday from 11:00 to 19:00. Qualifications
• Grade 12,
• Completion of a recognized recreation course(s) plus two year’s recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Valid class 4 vehicle license required.
