About Us:
We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our Plant & Maintenance Services team at Shuswap Lake General Hospital in the picturesque town of Salmon Arm, BC. Our facility is dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare, and we need skilled professionals to ensure our infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.
Your Role:
As an Electrician, you’ll perform skilled journeyman-level electrical work to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of electrical and electronic systems that keep our facilities operating safely and efficiently. You’ll review work requests, collaborate with user departments, and interpret drawings and specifications to plan projects, estimate materials and labour, and deliver reliable solutions. From diagnosing and repairing wiring, circuits, motors, and controls to completing preventative and predictive maintenance, your expertise will ensure systems meet all applicable codes and regulatory standards. Your attention to safety, quality, and detail will play a key role in supporting dependable operations and a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
Work Schedule:
This is a permanent full time position working Monday to Friday day shifts from 08:00 to 16:00. This position is required to be part of the on-call rotation for coverage outside of regular working hours.

Qualifications
• Certificate of Apprenticeship or Trades Qualification as a Journeyman Electrician recognized by the Province of British Columbia,
• A minimum of two (2) years of recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience,
• Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s License,
• B.C. Class B Field Safety Representative (FSR) Certificate
