Rehabilitation Assistant | Acute & Long-term care

Position Summary

We are hiring for a Rehabilitation Assistant for casual shifts at the Penticton Regional Hospital and Westview Place long-term care facility. This position may be supporting Occupational Therapy and/or Physiotherapy departments. Casual shifts are 07:30-15:30 and 08:00-16:00 and may be pre-booked in advance or called out at short notice. Casual means that hours are not guaranteed and may vary depending on the needs of the facilities. About the position:
Under the clinical direction of a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist, the Rehabilitation Assistant functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team in meeting the needs of the client. The Rehabilitation Assistant carries out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs and assists the therapist in monitoring and evaluating patients/residents’ progression.

Qualifications

Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
