We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Worker V to join our dedicated and supportive team in Fernie, BC. If you're a skilled tradesperson looking for a rewarding opportunity in a dynamic healthcare setting, this could be the perfect fit for you.
This is position is required to provide maintenance services as other Interior Health sites.
Your Role:
As a Maintenance Worker V, you will perform trades duties approaching the journeyman level in areas such as electrical, plumbing, and painting, ensuring all work complies with applicable codes and regulations. You will also supervise other Maintenance Workers and designated staff, construct and repair various structural elements like walls, doors, and ceilings, and handle projects involving drywall, wood paneling, and floor coverings. Additionally, your expertise will be put to use in designing, constructing, and repairing furniture, and performing plastering, painting, and decorating tasks for both minor renovations and general maintenance.
Position Information:
This is a permanent full time position that works Monday to Friday day shifts from 08:00 to 16:00. This position qualifies for a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications
• Grade 10
• Four years’ recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License required.
