About the job:
In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, the Business Intelligence Systems Analyst III performs a variety of duties to ensure the provision of effective development, implementation, maintenance and support of business intelligence systems configuration to enable business functionality and Data & Analytics mission.
Typical duties and responsibilities:
• Conducts feasibility studies for computerization by determining user department requirements; examining and identifying problems with existing systems and recommending modifications to and/or new systems; provides details of estimated implementation costs including associated staffing requirements.
• Provides technical support and consultation for complex systems applications such as integrated systems which impact several functional areas; participates in the development, designs implementation, documentation and systems administration for business intelligence systems such as Microsoft Azure, complex cloud-based systems applications, or other applications.
• Works collaboratively with Digital Health (DH) teams and key strategic partners to analyse requirements and develop new and/or change existing applications to achieve optimal configuration of system design.
• Installs, configures, modifies and tests business intelligence system solutions such as Logic Apps, Function Apps, Storage Accounts, Machine learning and others using industry standard program languages, techniques and tools.
• Maintains the configuration of business intelligence systems and recommends adjustment and/or new configurations to improve operating activities.
• Develops, implements and maintains user and technical operating documentation, procedures and guidelines for business intelligence configurations. Provides training to DH technical personnel and end-users by planning, coordinating and preparing instructional material and provide in-service training.
• Develops and implements best practices for business intelligence systems access, security, performance, and tuning in accordance with established business processes.
• Monitors implementation of new and revised applications; co-ordinates program testing and resolves issues/bugs as they arise.
• Trouble-shoots business intelligence system problems; liaises and refers to other DH staff or vendors as appropriate to ensure that issues are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Documents system integration requirements and specifications, working with system owners and the appropriate team to ensure data interfaces are developed, monitored and maintained.
• Monitors business intelligence systems for capacity usage and costs.
• Maintains working knowledge of current tools and techniques used in the information technology environment by methods such as researching on the internet, technical journals and industry related materials, meeting with vendors, identifying and planning for the impacts of future change.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience:
Graduation from a recognized degree or diploma program in Computer Science, three years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to deal with others effectively.
Ability to organize work.
Ability to write programs in a variety of programming languages.
Ability to operate related equipment.
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
