We are hiring for a Casual Respiratory Therapist at the Penticton Regional Hospital. This position works rotating days and nights from 07:00-19:15 and 19:00-07:15 on a casual as needed basis.

About the position:
The Respiratory Therapist practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice as outlined by the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) as well as within a client and family centered care model. Performs ongoing respiratory care in a multi-disciplinary setting to clients with a variety of illnesses/diseases including, but not limited to acute and/or chronic cardio-respiratory illnesses or pathologies by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Enhances quality of life from the perspective of the client/family. Consults, confers and collaborates with other health care professionals. Demonstrates continuous improvement and best practice approach in respiratory practice. Maintains and advances own clinical competence. Participates on committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned.

About this location:
Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH) serves 90,000 residents across the South Okanagan and Similkameen Valley, functioning as a regional facility and secondary referral center. With 158 acute care beds, a 10 bed ICU and 102 extended care beds on site; we offer emergency, trauma, specialty, surgical, and outpatient services, alongside advanced diagnostic capabilities.
Qualifications
Graduation from a recognized Respiratory Therapy program.
Successful completion of the Health Professionals Testing Canada (HPTC) Credentialing Exam. Eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT).
Current valid BC Driver’s License.
