East Kootenay Regional Hospital (EKRH) located in Cranbrook, B.C. has a permanent, full time Rehabilitation Assistant opening. This position’s schedule is rotating days 08:00 to 16:00.

About the position:
A Rehabilitation Assistant has a key role in carrying out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs and assisting our therapists in monitoring and evaluating patients/clients’ progression. Within this role the Rehabilitation Assistant is encouraged to work at top of scope and relied on to be the eyes and ears of the rehab team. It is an autonomous role, requiring a self-motivated and reliable Rehabilitation Assistant to support rehab care in a hospital setting.
Within this role, a Rehabilitation Assistant:
• Is encouraged to work at top of scope.
• Engages patients with regular therapeutic interventions.
• Has a huge impact on progression of patient needs and their rehab journey.
• Is an integral member of the rehabilitation team.
• Is relied on to be the eyes and ears of the rehab team.

Qualifications
Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Valid Class 5 Vehicle License if applicable.
