Position Summary
Our Maintenance Department at Elk Valley Hospital is currently seeking a permanent full-time Plumber | Maintenance Worker to join our dedicated team. This position operates Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00 and requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license, as responsibilities include providing services to multiple Interior Health facilities.

Your Role:
As a Plumber | Maintenance Worker, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our facilities operate safely and efficiently. You will perform skilled plumbing work at the journeyman level, handling the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems and equipment in compliance with all applicable codes and regulations. Beyond plumbing, you’ll also contribute to a variety of other trade areas—supporting general maintenance needs across the site. From reviewing work requests and interpreting blueprints to performing safety assessments and coordinating with departments, your expertise and problem-solving skills will help keep our operations running smoothly and reliably.

Qualifications
• Certificate of Apprenticeship or Trades Qualification Certificate as a journeyman Plumber, Class B level Gas Fitter’s License with electrical endorsement recognized by the Province of British Columbia. Two (2) years’ recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License required.
