We are presently seeking a relief part time (0.83FTE) team member to join our Recreation Therapy Department at Ponderosa in Kamloops, BC. This position works Monday to Friday day shifts from 08:45 to 15:27. This position qualifies for a comprehensive benefits package, including a municipal pension plan, paid vacation, extended health and dental benefits.
About the Role
As a Recreation Therapy Worker and Bus Driver, you will play an essential role in enriching the lives of our residents through engaging recreational activities and safe transportation to outings. Your responsibilities will include implementing diverse leisure and recreation therapy programs, facilitating individual and group sessions, and ensuring the well-being and participation of residents in various activities. Additionally, you will accompany residents on outings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and enjoyment while maintaining clear communication with nursing staff and therapists.

Qualifications
• Grade 12
• Completion of a recognized recreation course(s) plus two year’s recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Valid class 4 vehicle license required.
