We are seeking an experienced Red Seal Painter to join our dedicated team at Cottonwoods Care Centre in Kelowna, BC. This position requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license, as responsibilities include providing services to multiple Interior Health facilities.

Your Role:
As a Painter with Interior Health, you will perform skilled, journeyman-level painting work to enhance and maintain the aesthetics and functionality of our facilities. You will be responsible for preparing materials, surfaces, and equipment; selecting and applying a wide range of finishes such as paint, varnish, stains, and wall coverings to both interior and exterior surfaces. Working closely with user departments, you’ll review work requests, interpret blueprints and specifications, and provide estimates and recommendations. From surface preparation—scraping, sanding, plastering—to mixing custom paint colours and applying coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray guns, your attention to detail helps maintain the quality, appearance, and longevity of our facilities.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Apprenticeship or Trades Qualification Certificate as a journeyman Painter and Decorator recognized by the Province of British Columbia. Two (2) years’ recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License required.
