Position Summary
We are presently seeking a casual Recreation Therapy Worker to join our DayBreak Adult Day Service team at Gateby in Vernon, BC.
Your Role:
You will be responsible for executing engaging leisure and recreation therapy programs, both within our facility and out in the community. This includes setting up and organizing program spaces to ensure residents' participation and comfort. Additionally, you will accompany residents on outings, liaising with nursing staff to confirm program details and promptly addressing any issues that may arise. Your dedication to enhancing residents' experiences and fostering a supportive environment is crucial to our team's success.
Casual Employment Opportunities:
This casual position offers flexible work hours ranging from zero to 37.5 hours per week, with shifts available during the day and evening. Casual employees can apply for permanent part-time or full-time positions internally, providing avenues for career growth within Interior Health.

Qualifications
Grade 12, completion of a recognized recreation course(s) plus two year’s recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
