Position Summary
We are seeking a Casual Clinical Dietitian at 100 Mile House & District Hospital. Joining us at 100 Mile House Hospital, you’ll have a key role in the healthcare team providing provides nutrition services and support to individuals, patients, residents and/or groups. This position provides acute care services and has the possibility to expand to cover long-term care and outpatient nutrition.

About the job:
Utilizing clinical techniques and knowledge, the Clinical Dietitian provides nutrition services through: nutrition assessment; care planning and charting; intervention, goal setting and monitoring; counseling and education programs; consults and communicates with the multidisciplinary care teams; acts as a resource to other health professionals and communities within Interior Health.
The Clinical Dietitian provides input to the Professional Practice Leader or designate by participating in the development of nutrition practice guidelines and procedures; research and continuous quality improvement initiatives for the facility and program.
The Clinical Dietitian liaises and advises food service staff on patient/client/resident care issues and menu development.

Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics.
- Successful completion of an accredited hospital based dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility).
- Full registration as a Registered Dietitian with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
- One year of clinical nutrition experience in a health care environment preferred.
- Valid BC Driver’s License.
