Joining us in Fernie, B.C. as a casual Social Worker, you’ll have a pivotal role providing social work services to patients at Rocky Mountain Care Village, a long-term care home.

About the Position:
You will provide comprehensive assessment, care planning and treatment coordination for designated clients and their families. Working collaboratively with other health care providers and the multidisciplinary team, you will provide direct psychosocial care, counseling, system navigation and advocacy, education and linkage to relevant specialized complex care resources while facilitating client self-management.
This is a Casual opportunity. Shift type(s) for this position are days as needed and shifts of work are from 08:00 to 16:00 hours. Casual means there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements can vary from Zero to 37.5 hours per week. Rocky Mountain Care Village is a long-term care home with 61 publicly funded beds that is located on the First Nation traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Ktunaxa Nation in Fernie.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited university.
Two years recent related experience in a healthcare setting working with medically complex clients with concurrent disorders, or a combination of education, training and experience.
Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers.
Current valid driver’s license.
