We are seeking a Casual Operating Room Inventory Control Liaison/Medical Device Reprocessing Technician at Elk Valley Hospital in Fernie, BC.
Days of work: Monday to Friday, Days
Shift times: 08:00 to 16:00 , 09:00 to 15:00

What will you work on?
If you are a motivated and certified Medical Device Reprocessing Technician with ability to multi-task and take on dual responsibilities, we would love to hear from you.
This position works collaboratively with Nursing, MDR and Logistics and is responsible for completing purchase orders for minor and major equipment, supplies and services within the Operating Room. Ensures stock levels are maintained, and reports inventory issues to supervisor. Cleans, decontaminates, assembles, wraps, sterilizes and distributes instruments, equipment and linen related to the Operating Room. Picks up equipment, instrument sets and fills requests for the Operating Room. Contacts vendor representatives related to inventory issues. Maintains procedure/reference manuals, vendor catalogues and other forms of communication related to Operating Room inventory and logistics.

Qualifications
Grade 12, successful completion of a recognized Sterile Supply Processing course, plus one year’s recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
