About the Job
The Registered Nurse:
• Practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care
• Works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs
• Demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities
This is a Permanent Full Time opportunity.
Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 07:30 to 19:30, 19:30 to 07:30 hours.
About this Location
6 North is a dedicated medical inpatient unit specializing in comprehensive care for adult patients with a diverse range of medical conditions. With a capacity of 38 beds, 6N serves as a vital resource within the hospital for patients having medical needs. 6N is also offering specialized services as the designated eating disorder unit.
At 6N, we pride ourselves on our multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Our team is composed of passionate professionals including Hospitalists (MD, NP) Patient Care Coordinators (PCCs), Transition Liaisons (TLs), Social Workers (SWs), Registered Nurses, Practical Nurses, Physical Therapists (PTs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), Dieticians, and Support Services workers (HCA, Porters, Activation Team). This collaborative environment ensures that each patient receives holistic, personalized care tailored to their unique needs.

Qualifications
• Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses
• Current full practicing licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
• Current CPR certification required *Please upload a copy of your valid CPR certificate with your application*
Acute care experience is considered an asset. Along with a copy of your CV (resume) please provide details regarding your previous acute care experience.
