Physiotherapist | Primary Care

Position Summary

Join us in supporting Vernon Primary Care where our interdisciplinary team provides a range of services in a coordinated approach to healthcare. Primary Health Care offers clients to receive the right care by the right provider, when and where they need it.

Days of work are Monday to Friday; 08:00 to 16:00. This position will include working in the Primary Care Network hub and providing outreach. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments of clients’ physical status, functional abilities, and goals, utilizing an evidence-based approach to develop and implement tailored treatment plans. Your expertise will focus on improving, maintaining, or supporting clients’ physical performance and independence. As part of a collaborative team, you will educate clients and caregivers on self-management and injury prevention, while working to achieve optimal health outcomes through ongoing evaluation and adjustment of treatment strategies.

This position is eligible for a $15,000 recruitment incentive plus relocation allowance. Earn $42.56 to $52.95 per hour.

Qualifications

- Graduation from an approved program of Physical Therapy.
- Full registration as a Physical Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC) and eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Physical Therapy.
- Demonstrated post graduate education in orthopedic manual and manipulative therapy (minimum Level III (Part A or B an asset), or an equivalent education).
- Minimum of three (3) years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. With a minimum of one (1) year experience in a direct access facility diagnosing acute/subacute musculoskeletal injuries.
