Role Overview:
As an Adult Day Service Worker, you will be responsible for meeting the needs of our clients by assisting them in carrying out established programs and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of the Adult Day Centre Program Supervisor and working within a client-centered model, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and enjoyment of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and participate in activation, life skills, recreational, and social activities tailored to meet the needs of clients.
• Adapt and modify activities as necessary to accommodate the special needs of clients.
• Set up and organize furnishings and equipment for programs and special events.
• Accompany clients to programs, provide demonstrations as required, and oversee participation.
• Report any problems or changes to the Program Supervisor promptly.
Work Schedule:
Embrace flexibility with casual day shift positions ranging from 0 to 37.5 hours per week. Qualifications
• Grade 12
• Completion of an Activity Assistant Program, and one year recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Food Safe certificate.
