Position Summary
Joining us in Kamloops, B.C., you’ll have a pivotal role providing social work services to in-patients attached to the Royal Inland Hospital (RIH). You will provide comprehensive assessment, care planning and treatment coordination for designated clients and their families. Working collaboratively with other health care providers and the multidisciplinary team, you will provide direct psychosocial care, counseling, system navigation and advocacy, education and linkage to relevant specialized complex care resources while facilitating client self-management.
Days of work: Monday to Friday; 08:00 to 16:00. This is a term specific full time opportunity until April 30, 2025. Once hired into a term specific role, employees are eligible to apply for internal postings including permanent positions. Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited university.
• Two years recent related experience in a healthcare setting working with medically complex clients with concurrent disorders, or a combination of education, training and experience.
• Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers.
• Current valid driver’s license.
