About the job:
The Combined Laboratory X-Ray Technologist performs a variety of routine laboratory, x-ray and ECG procedures in accordance with departmental policies, procedures and standards as defined by respective service and accrediting bodies. Performs routine and preventative maintenance of equipment and trouble shoots equipment problems as required. This position is predominantly assigned to the Laboratory.

About this location
The Arrow Lakes Hospital is well equipped and maintained Level 1 Community site in the Kootenay Boundary health service area, situated on a popular tourist route between Nelson and Vernon. The hospital offers many services including 6 acute care beds and a busy Emergency department with a helipad onsite.
The beautiful Arrow Lakes and Slocan Valley area is where you will find the safe and quaint community of Nakusp. Nestled in between the Selkirk and Monashee mountain ranges, this friendly lakeside village is home to approx. 2,000 residents. Living here you can enjoy an abundance of year-round outdoor recreation and community activities.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Graduation from an approved Combined Laboratory X-Ray Technician program. Eligible for registration with a provincial licensing body.
One year of general experience in both laboratory and diagnostic imaging fields or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Additional education and training in Transfusion Medicine is considered an asset.
