The Social Work Department at Royal Inland Hospital is dedicated to providing essential emotional, psychological, and practical support to patients and their families. We are a team of highly trained and compassionate social workers works alongside healthcare providers to ensure patients receive holistic care that addresses not only their medical needs but also their social, emotional, and mental health concerns. You’ll play a crucial role in advocating for social justice at individual, family, organizational, and societal levels through your professional knowledge, values, ethics and skills.
This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means hours are not guaranteed and may vary and shifts may be at short notice. Casual positions offer flexibility and yet, as a Casual employee you are eligible to apply for internal postings including permanent and temporary positions. There are many opportunities with Interior Health that begin with Casual employment. Shifts times are 08:00 to 16:00 or 09:00 to 17:00 hours.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited university.
• Two years recent related experience in a healthcare setting working with medically complex clients with concurrent disorders, or a combination of education, training and experience.
• Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers.
• Current valid driver’s license.
