Position Summary
Shuswap Lake General Hospital (SLGH), located in Salmon Arm, B.C., has an immediate relief part-time (0.850 FTE) Physiotherapist opening. This position is to provide coverage until the return of incumbent and is anticipated to run until May 2025. This position works Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 08:30-15:15.

About the position:
This position provides coverage to the Bastion Place Short Stay Unit and the Shuswap Lake General Hospital acute care, and outpatient clients.
Physiotherapists play a crucial part in providing assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education to patients and/or their caregivers. Operating within a client-centered approach and as an essential member of our interdisciplinary team, you make a substantial contribution to promote functional independence and enable patients to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes.

SLGH is Level 2 Community Hospital in the Thompson Cariboo Shuswap health service area. Located in Salmon Arm, between Kamloops and Revelstoke, the hospital offers services including surgical, inpatient, obstetrics and 24-hour emergency.

Qualifications
• Full registration as a Physical Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC)
• Valid BC Driver’s license
