About the Hospital | RIH is a tertiary referral hospital and offers high-level, specialty medical care including core physician specialties, 24 emergency and trauma services, ambulatory and outpatient clinics, and diagnostic services.
About the Job | This position will provide relief coverage until June 2026, or return of the incumbent. Schedule rotation is Mondays, Tuesdays, and every other weekend; 09:00 to 17:00 or 11:00 to 19:00 hours. As the Social Worker, you will be responsible for providing and developing social work services to maintain or improve the health and social well-being and functioning of the identified population. In this role, you will provide comprehensive assessment, care planning and treatment coordination for designated clients and their families. Working collaboratively with other health care providers and the multidisciplinary team, you will provide direct psychosocial care, counseling, system navigation and advocacy, education and linkage to relevant specialized complex care resources while facilitating client self-management.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited university.
• Two years recent related experience in a healthcare setting working with medically complex clients with concurrent disorders, or a combination of education, training and experience.
• Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers.
• Current valid driver’s license.
