Position Summary

We are seeking a Relief Part-time (0.51 FTE) Registered Dietitian at Cranbrook Urgent & Primary Care Centre in Cranbrook, BC.

Days of work: Week 1: Wednesday to Friday; Week 2: Thursday, Friday. Shift times: 08:30 to 16:30. This is a relief position until the return of incumbent December 2025.

What will you work on?

Utilizing clinical techniques and knowledge, the Dietitian provides nutrition services through: nutrition assessment; care planning and charting; intervention, goal setting and monitoring; counseling and education programs; consults and communicates with the multidisciplinary care teams; acts as a resource to other health professionals and communities within Interior Health. The Dietitian provides input to the Professional Practice Leader or designate by participating in the development of nutrition practice guidelines and procedures; research and continuous quality improvement initiatives for the facility and program. The Dietitian liaises and advises food service staff on client care issues and menu development.

Where are we located? Located in the southeastern corner of B.C., Cranbrook is the business capital of the East Kootenays and the largest city in the Rocky Mountain Region. Nestled on a gentle plain with scenic mountain vistas in the distance, it is considered by many to be an ideal location to raise a family or retire. Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics.
• Successful completion of an accredited hospital based dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility).
• Full registration as a Registered Dietitian with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
• One year of clinical nutrition experience in a health care environment preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.
