About the job:
This CLXT position works in both department of Laboratory and Medical Imaging when on shift. The position rotates between shifts at the Sparwood Health Centre and nearby Elkford Health Centre which is 34km away. The position works rotating day shifts Monday to Friday with on-call until 19:30. Weekend shifts and statutory holidays are on-call only from 08:00-19:30.
CLXT performs a variety of routine laboratory, x-ray and ECG procedures in accordance with departmental policies, procedures and standards as defined by respective service and accrediting bodies. Performs routine and preventative maintenance of equipment and trouble shoots equipment problems as required.

About this location
Just 18km west of the Alberta border is the mountain town of Sparwood B.C., home to 4200 residents. Sparwood is situated only 30mins from the Fernie Alpine Resort, and the Elk Valley Provincial Park for year round adventures.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
Graduation from an approved Combined Laboratory X-Ray Technician program. Eligible for registration with a provincial licensing body.
One year of general experience in both laboratory and diagnostic imaging fields or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
