Community Hospital Operations Supervisor, Medical Lab Technologist III position is available at the Creston Valley Hospital in Creston, B.C. This is a permanent full-time position within the small Lab team. This positions works rotating day and evening shifts.

What will you work on:
Supervise, mentor and coach a small team of laboratory staff and coordination of daily inpatient/outpatient activities. Provide technical guidance to lab staff in conjunction with Specialists and leadership. Facilitates workplace solutions, and promotes continuous learning. Coordinates the implementation of processes and procedures, standards, goals and objectives. Ensure that policies, procedures, accreditation and safety standards are maintained.

The Creston Valley Hospital & Health Centre is a Level 1 Community Hospital in the East Kootenay health service area. Located in Creston, south east B.C. between Osoyoos and Cranbrook, the hospital offers services including surgical, inpatient and emergency.

Qualifications
• Medical Laboratory Technologist with current certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and eligible for membership with CSMLS/BCSLS
• Minimum of three years’ recent experience as a general duty technologist in a medical laboratory
• Minimum of one year recent leadership experience
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable to the facility
