Community Rehabilitation Assistant

Position Summary

Joining us at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBRH), located in Trail, B.C, you’ll play a pivotal role within our interdisciplinary team, implementing our established Home Health and Community Care Rehabilitation Programs. This position works 08:30-16:30 with weekends, stat holidays and alternating Friday's off. This is a relief opportunity until October 2025 or the return of the current incumbent.

Operating within a client-centered framework, you'll be responsible supporting adults with a variety of physical disabilities, assisting with activities of daily living, and implementing group and individual programs in clients’ homes and in community sites. Your duties are intended to allow clients to maximize their functional ability, remain at home and engage in meaningful activity.

Within this role, a Community Rehabilitation Assistant:
• Is encouraged to work at top of scope.
• Engages clients with regular therapeutic interventions.
• Has a huge impact on progression of client needs and their rehab journey.
• Is an intrical member of the rehabilitation team.
• Is relied on to be the eyes and ears of the rehabilitation team.

Qualifications

Graduate of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program, plus one year’s recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Current valid BC Driver’s License.
