Position Summary
We are currently looking for a relief full time Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) Clinician to join the Mental Health and Substance Use Outreach team based out of the Kelowna Community Health & Services centre in Kelowna, B.C. This relief position is until the return of the incumbent.

What will you work on?
This position is part of our substance use counselling team providing individual and group therapy.
The MHSU Substance Use Clinician provides, at the advanced practice level, assessment, treatment, service coordination and, as required, urgent response to the most complex clients, frequently with co-occurring disorders, who may also have serious functional impairment in the domains of physical health and personal, family, financial, occupational, and social life. The MHSU Substance Use Clinician functions as a primary clinician utilizing a variety of specialized treatment modalities/therapies for individuals, groups of clients and/or their families.
Scheduling Information
Shift times and days of work are from Monday to Friday and shift times are from 10:00 to 18:00 hours.

Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience:
• Masters degree from an accredited educational institution in an Allied Health, Behavioural, or Social Science field relevant to the position.
• Two years’ recent related experience in an alcohol and drug treatment environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Current valid B.C. driver’s license.
