Position Summary
The Pharmacy team at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital is seeking a casual Pharmacy Assistant to join our supportive and cohesive team. If you are a Pharmacy Assistant looking to contribute to the operations of a dynamic pharmacy department, we would love to hear from you.
What will you work on?
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will work under the close supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician, assisting with various aspects of pharmacy department operations. Responsibilities include packaging and distribution of unit dose medications, inventory control, statistical reporting activities, and other related clerical functions. Work will consist of on-call shifts and/or blocks of day shifts to cover sick time and/or scheduled leaves.
Casual Employment Opportunities:
This casual position offers flexible work hours, ranging from zero to 37.5 hours per week. As a casual employee, you'll have the opportunity to apply for permanent part-time or full-time positions internally, providing avenues for career growth within Interior Health.

Qualifications
• Grade 12;
• Graduation from a recognized Pharmacy Assistant course plus one year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
