We are currently seeking passionate and energetic Adult Day Service Workers to join our dedicated team at North Hills Care Centre in Kamloops! Your Role:
As an Adult Day Service Worker, you will work under the supervision of the Adult Day Centre Program Supervisor and within a client-centered model. You will be responsible for meeting the needs of an assigned group of clients, assisting them in carrying out established programs and activities of daily living tasks. You will implement and participate in activation, life skills, recreational, and social activities designed to meet the needs of clients, providing demonstrations as required. Your role includes adapting and modifying activities to meet the special needs of clients, setting up and organizing furnishings and equipment for programs and special events, accompanying clients to programs, teaching activity techniques, and overseeing participation while reporting any changes to the supervisor.

What We Offer:
This is a casual opportunity with possible day shifts from Tuesday to Friday, 08:30-16:30, on an as-needed basis. Casual employees are eligible to apply for internally posted jobs, including temporary and permanent opportunities.

Qualifications

• Grade 12
• Completion of an Activity Assistant Program, and one year recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Food Safe certificate.
