Nurse Practitioner

Position Summary

Interior Health is seeking a dynamic permanent full (1.0 FTE) Nurse Practitioners to join our team providing primary health care to the Nlaka’pamux Nation and Lytton area.

The Nurse Practitioner(s), for the Nlaka’pamux Nation/Lytton area (Fraser Canyon corridor north of Boston Bar and south of Spences Bridge) will provide full-scope primary care services together with a team inclusive of a GP, primary care nurse, home health nurse, MHSU and allied health professionals. This practice has a focus on both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal populations including some community outreach to Lytton First Nations, Kanaka Bar, Cook’s Ferry, Skuppah, Siska and Nicomen. The practice will be shared between one or more Nurse Practitioner(s) and a GP, providing virtual care (telephone, Zoom) as well as in-person clinics from the Lytton First Nation Health Center. The NP(s) will collaborate with various community agencies, surrounding aboriginal communities, and multidisciplinary health services in the delivery of comprehensive, holistic patient centered health care that is delivered in a culturally safe manner. As the model of care matures, monthly outreach to each community will be incorporated into the services of the primary care providers (NPs and GPs).

Salary Range:
Salary range for the position is $74.74/hour - $82.21/hour. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant.

Qualifications

Education, Training, and Experience:
• Current registration and exam-qualified as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Successful completion of Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).
• Recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
