A Respiratory Therapist (RT) will play a crucial part in providing respiratory care to clients with a variety of illnesses/diseases including, but not limited to, acute and/or chronic cardio-respiratory illnesses or pathologies. Operating within a client-centered approach and as an essential member of our interdisciplinary team, you make a substantial contribution to enhancing quality of life from the perspective of the client/family.
KBRH is a regional hospital with a 7-bed ICU, tier 3 NICU, and all specialty services are provided except interventional cardiology, burns and neuro. RT’s at KBRH work to full scope and are highly respected by their healthcare colleagues. Day-to-day activities include ventilator and airway management, High Acuity Response (HART) Team, Code Blue Team, Code Pink Team, Critical Care Outreach Team, wards/Emergency Department coverage, NICU coverage, and high-risk delivery attendance.
Trail | Trail is situated on the Columbia River in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia. Qualifications
• Graduation from a recognized Respiratory Therapy program.
• Current certification with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and eligible for registration with the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT) and CSRT.
• Recent acute/critical care experience.
• Current valid Driver’s License.
