About the Position
Working as a registered Clinical Dietitian in 100 Mile House offers a unique and fulfilling opportunity, especially for those drawn to rural healthcare, community engagement, and a balanced lifestyle.
This position supports acute and outpatient care at OMH 60 percent of the time and supports long-term care residents residing at Fischer Place/Mill Site Lodge the remaining 40 percent. As a registered Dietitian, you will leverage your clinical expertise to deliver comprehensive nutrition services, including assessments, care planning, and monitoring. You'll work collaboratively with multidisciplinary care teams, providing counseling and education while serving as a vital resource for the community. Additionally, you'll advise food service staff on client care issues and menu development, ensuring optimal nutrition for all clients.
As a Clinical Dietitian in this position, you are integral to a multidisciplinary team, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care. The position’s diverse programs offer opportunities to work across various areas, enhancing your professional experience. Restricted Acts (RA) A and C are a requirement for this role. We would be supportive of hiring a candidate who is willing to pursue these designations.

100 Mile House serves as the primary service center for the South Cariboo region, with a regional population exceeding 20,000 people. The 100 Mile District General Hospital provides essential community hospital services, including inpatient care, emergency services, and specialized programs such as acquired brain injury services and acute inpatient psychiatry

Qualifications
Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics.
Successful completion of an accredited hospital based dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility).
Full registration as a Registered Dietitian with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
One year of clinical nutrition experience in a health care environment preferred.
Valid BC Driver’s License.
