100 Mile House and District Hospital is seeking a skilled and motivated Registered Dietitian to join our multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise in nutrition care, support health promotion, and collaborate with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals in the beautiful Cariboo region of B.C.!
This position supports acute care, outpatients/diabetes education and long-term care. As a Registered Dietitian, you will leverage your clinical expertise to deliver comprehensive nutrition services, including assessments, care planning, and monitoring. You'll work collaboratively with multidisciplinary care teams, providing counseling and education while serving as a vital resource for the community. Additionally, you'll advise food service staff on patient care issues and menu development, ensuring optimal nutrition for all clients. Days of work are Monday through Friday; 08:00 to 16:00 hours.

About 100 Mile House and District Hospital | As a rural hospital, 100 Mile House Hospital plays a crucial role in serving not only the town of 100 Mile House but also the surrounding rural communities. It provides healthcare services for a largely rural and agricultural population, offering critical care that might otherwise require longer travel times to larger urban centres. The hospital offers 24/7 emergency care, inpatient and outpatient care, surgical services (minor and elective surgeries), diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, and works closely with primary care providers in the region including family physicians and the 100 Mile House Primary Care Network.

Qualifications
• Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics.
• Successful completion of an accredited hospital based dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility).
• Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC).
• Two years of clinical nutrition experience in a health care environment or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience suitable to the facility or program is preferred.
• Practice specific requirements and experience in programs applicable to practice area such as: Diabetes Education, Nutrition Support, and Kidney and Chronic Disease Management Programs.
• Valid Driver’s License.
