Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) has an immediate relief, full time Occupational Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist opening. This position will provide coverage until the return of incumbent.

KGH is a tertiary hospital and the largest hospital in the Interior Health region serving a vast community, offering a wide range of comprehensive rehabilitation services designed to help patients recover from various injuries, illnesses, or surgeries.
The Occupational Rehabilitation Program provides WorkSafe BC clients with a multidisciplinary team approach focusing on maximizing function and tolerance before re-entering the workforce, after a period of inactivity. Job simulation, body mechanics, education seminars, biodex testing, aquatherapy, job site visits and gradual-return-to-work planning are all included within the program.
This position also involves some work in the Acute Care areas of KGH, covering acute orthopedics, surgery, ED, stroke, etc. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, with the occasional weekend work required. Local travel within the Central Okanagan is a requirement and a vehicle is required for the position.

Qualifications
• Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.
• Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professions of British Columbia (CHCPBC) [formerly College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC)]. Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists or British Columbia Society of Occupational Therapists.
• Valid Driver’s license.
