Kamloops Public Health is responsible for delivering core programs for public health that broadly cover the areas of health improvement, prevention of disease, disability and injury, health emergency management, and environmental health. Kamloops Public Health Speech-Language Pathology clinic is for children who are located in and within the proximity of the community.
About the Job:
The Early Childhood Development (ECD) S-LP works with children aged birth-to-school entry from a variety of cultural backgrounds and their parents/caregivers. The ECD S-LP will engage in screening, assessment, intervention, coaching, and education in all areas of speech, language, and communication with this population. The ECD S-LP will collaborate with other professionals from the Ministry of Children & Family Development (MCFD), Ministry of Education (MoE), as well as local community organizations. Days of work are Monday to Friday; 08:30 to 16:30 hours.

Qualifications
Full practicing registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC).
One year’s recent, related experience in working with clients in Early Childhood Development setting and/or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Valid Driver’s license where required.
