Position Summary
Interior Health is seeking a dedicated Casual Pharmacy Assistant to join Penticton Regional Hospital’s Pharmacy Department. Shift types include rotating day shifts.
Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and shifts can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.
What Will You Work On?
As the Pharmacy Assistant you will work under the close supervision of a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician to support various aspects of pharmacy operations. Pharmacy Assistants perform packaging and distribution of unit dose medications, as well as specified inventory control and statistical reporting activities and other related clerical functions.

About This Location:
Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH) is an acute care hospital with a medium size Pharmacy operating seven days a week during daytime hours. Our Emergency department sees upwards of 36k visits and we have 129 acute beds and 102 extended care beds and offer a full range of health services to the community.
Penticton has one of the best year-round climates in Canada, where you can enjoy two beautiful lakes, acres of parks, and wilderness trails on the local mountains. Qualifications
• Completion of Grade 12; and
• Graduation from a recognized Pharmacy Assistant Course, plus one year recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
