Interior Health is hiring a Student – IMIT Technology Services to join the Technology Services team at the Kelowna Warehouse (Reids) in Kelowna, B.C. This position will be available for a maximum of a four-month term.

What will you work on?

The student will be assisting with project workload for IMIT Technology Services initiatives within Interior Health Authority. This position provides support to the members of the Technology Services team as directed by the Lead. This position will be available for a maximum of a four-month term.

Some Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Project workload as assigned by the Lead/Manager
2. Assist with data gathering and analysis as directed by the Lead/Manager
3. Updating training documentation
4. Updating Sharepoint site.
5. Travel to facilities throughout Interior Health

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience:

1. Currently enrolled in a recognized IT diploma or degree program.
2. Valid Class 5 Drivers License

Skills and abilities:

1. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
2. Ability to deal with others effectively
3. Ability to organize work.
4. Applies problem solving process demonstrating critical thinking, decision-making skills, and system analysis.
5. Ability to utilize equipment/computer technology.
6. Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

**Travel within the interior of BC may be required for this position

You are required to hold a valid BC Driver’s License and may be required to drive a personal car on mileage and /or be assigned a fleet vehicle as a condition of employment.”

Comments

Salary range for the position is $22 to $25 p/h and starting salary will be based on education, training and experience.
