We are currently seeking casual Community Mental Health Workers 2 to join our Mental Health department at the Kiro Health Centre in Trail, BC.

What will you work on?

The Community Mental Health Worker's purpose is to ensure that persons with severe and persistent mental health problems and/or substance use disorders have access to timely, responsive, evidence based psychosocial rehabilitation across the continuum of available services. As a Community Mental Health Worker you will provide basic care management as well as establish rehabilitation objectives and plans for assigned client populations. You will perform a variety of life skills, advocacy, supportive counseling, psychosocial rehabilitation planning, and general support duties involving clients who are living in their own housing.

Scheduling Information:

Shift types are days and shift times are from 08:00 to 16:30 hours. This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements can vary from 0 - 37.5 hours per week. About Kiro Wellness Centre

Offers a range of mental health and substance use services to support individuals and families in the Interior Health region. Services are provided in a variety of settings including community clinics, hospitals, residential settings, and on an outreach basis.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience:

• Grade 12
• Diploma in a field relevant to the position
• Two years recent related experience working with the assigned client population(s) experiencing mental health and/or substance abuse problems; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Current valid B.C. Driver’s License
