About Us:
We are currently seeking and experienced Recreation Therapy Worker | Bus Driver to join our team at Coquihalla Gillis House in Merritt, BC. As a valued member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in implementing our established Recreation Therapy Program, ensuring the well-being and enjoyment of our residents.
Work Schedule:
This is a permanent part-time (0.59FTE) position with rotating day and evening shifts, offering flexibility for a healthy work-life balance. Shifts are from 07:30 to 15:30 and 12:00 to 20:00. Plus, you'll enjoy the benefits of our comprehensive benefits package.
Your Role:
As a Recreation Therapy Worker | Bus Driver, you'll work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to facilitate individual and group leisure/recreation therapy programs. From arts and crafts to sports and gardening, you'll organize and lead various activities that cater to the diverse interests of our residents. Additionally, you'll accompany residents on outings, ensuring they have everything they need for a memorable experience outside the facility.

Qualifications
• Grade 12
• Completion of a recognized recreation course(s) plus two year’s recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Valid class 4 vehicle license required.
