IMIT Student | IT Services Management

Position Summary

Interior Health is hiring an Information Management Information Technology (IMIT) Student to join the IT Services Management team. This position is based out of the Community Health & Services Centre in Kelowna, B.C. This position will be available for a maximum of a four-month term.

What will you work on?

This position will assist with planning, developing, and implementing various projects.

Some Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform day-to-day Service Management Operations.
2. Perform regular reviews of reports and dashboards.
3. Working with other process managers and other process owners to identify, prioritize, and implement opportunities for the processes.
4. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience:

1. Currently enrolled in a post- secondary program (preferably 3rd, 4th year student) or within one year of graduation in: Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analysis or related discipline.
2. Valid Class 5 Drivers License

Skills and abilities:

1. Communication – both verbal and written, including excellent telephone and email writing style
2. Collaboration – a strong desire to collaborate, lead and contribute to a strong team environment
3. Organizational Skills – well organized, close attention to detail, able to navigate shifting priorities, good task and time management
4. Applies problem solving process demonstrating critical thinking, decision-making skills, and system analysis
5. Ability to utilize equipment/computer technology
6. Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal skills, and conflict resolution skills
7. Willingness to learn new skills
8. Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

Comments

Salary range for the position is $22 to $25 p/h and starting salary will be based on education, training and experience.
