Position Summary

Cariboo Community Health Services, located in Williams Lake, B.C., is a vital healthcare hub serving the city and surrounding Cariboo-Chilcotin region. Community Health Centres do not have acute care beds, but may provide basic laboratory and radiology; urgent care; outpatient ambulatory care; community services; long term residential care services; and/or on-site doctors’ offices.

Joining us at Cariboo Community Health Services, you’ll play a crucial part in providing assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education to clients and/or their caregivers. Operating within a client-centered approach and as an essential member of our interdisciplinary team, an Occupational Therapist makes a substantial contribution to promote functional independence and enable clients to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.
• Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professions of British Columbia (CHCPBC) [formerly College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC)]. Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists or British Columbia Society of Occupational Therapists.
• Valid Driver’s license.
