About the job:
Join a dynamic and dedicated team of caring professionals as an autonomous professional who has expertise in typical development and disorders of communication/swallowing as well as assessment and intervention in these areas. The Speech-Language Pathologist will work directly with clients and/or with their caregivers or other persons who regularly interact with these people for the purpose of creating environments that promote optimal communication and swallowing for adults requiring this care.

CMH is a key healthcare facility located in Williams Lake, B.C. serving as the primary hospital for the Cariboo-Chilcotin region. This hospital plays a critical role in providing essential medical services to a large, mostly rural population spread across Central British Columbia. The hospital offers a broad range of healthcare services: 24/7 emergency care, inpatient and surgical services, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, maternity services, outpatient care, and specialized services (i.e. support for patients with chronic conditions, mental health services, and rehabilitation care).

Qualifications
- Full practicing registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
- One year’s clinical experience with adults in a hospital setting and/or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Valid BC Driver’s license required.
