Kamloops Community Respiratory Therapy has an immediate relief, full time Community Respiratory Therapist opening. This position will provide coverage until November 2024, or return of incumbent.

Kamloops Community Respiratory Therapy is a dedicated healthcare service provider and offers comprehensive care and support for clients with various respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, sleep apnea, and more. Our services include diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, education on respiratory conditions and management strategies, as well as ongoing support to ensure optimal health outcomes.

Joining our team, you'll play a pivotal role in promoting respiratory health both within our hospital and throughout the community. Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive assessments, providing education, delivering treatment, and facilitating rehabilitation for clients with respiratory dysfunction. As a Community Respiratory Therapist, you'll be a key communicator and educator, sharing best practices and demonstrating respiratory care procedures to fellow healthcare professionals and students.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized program in Respiratory Therapy and two years’ recent experience in pulmonary rehabilitation, asthma education, respiratory home care, home ventilation, home oxygen, and sleep disordered breathing screening, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Current certification with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and eligible for registration with the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT) and CSRT.
• Current valid BC driver’s license.
