Swan Valley Lodge in Creston, BC, is seeking a dedicated Recreation Therapy Worker to join our dynamic team. Working within a client-centered model, you'll play a vital role in implementing our established Recreation Therapy Program, contributing to the well-being and enjoyment of our residents.
Your Role:
As a Recreation Therapy Worker Bus Driver, you will be an integral member of the interdisciplinary team, dedicated to implementing our Recreation Therapy Program in accordance with the vision and values of the organization. You will carry out a variety of individual and group leisure/recreation therapy programs, such as arts, socio-cultural events, crafts, sports, music, cooking, gardening, and exercises. Your responsibilities will include setting up and organizing furnishings and equipment for programs and special events, assisting residents in participating, and reporting any issues to the supervisor. Additionally, you will manage resident programs outside the facility, ensuring residents have appropriate clothing and necessary funds for outings, and coordinating details with nursing staff or therapists.
Work Schedule:
This relief position works Tuesday to Friday day shifts from 08:00 to 16:00.

Qualifications
• Grade 12
• Completion of a recognized recreation course(s) plus two year’s recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Valid class 4 vehicle license required.
