Position Summary
Joining us at Royal Inland Hospital, you’ll have a key role in the healthcare team providing provides nutrition services and support to individuals, patients, residents and groups. This position provides acute care services and has the possibility to expand to cover long-term care and outpatient nutrition.
Earn $40.75 to $50.87 per hour.

About the job:
A Registered Dietitian delivers expert nutrition care and support following established policies and standards. Using evidence-based clinical techniques, the Registered Dietitian provides a range of services, including nutrition assessments, care planning, goal setting, and ongoing monitoring. They also offer personalized counseling, educational programs, and consultations while working closely with other healthcare professionals. In addition to direct patient care, the Registered Dietitian plays a vital role in advancing nutrition practice by contributing to the development of guidelines, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives. They also serve as a valuable resource to staff and communities within Interior Health. Additionally, the Registered Dietitian collaborates with food service teams, advising on patient/resident care and menu planning to ensure optimal nutritional support.

Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics.
- Successful completion of an accredited hospital based dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility).
- Full registration as a Registered Dietitian with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
- One year of clinical nutrition experience in a health care environment preferred.
- Valid BC Driver’s License.
