What Will You Work On?
As a Sonographer at Interior Health, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures/examinations and related duties working in collaboration with radiologists/cardiologists, physicians and other health care professionals. At Interior Health, our Sonographers can be hired in General Sonography positions as well as Cardiac Sonographers, with practice areas such as Abdomen/Small Parts, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Cardiac, and/or Vascular. All of our sites are connected through our regional PACS system and integrated into our single Electronic Health Records, providing real-time patient histories anywhere within Interior Health. Our hospitals offer a busy and diverse atmosphere providing ultrasound services to inpatients and outpatients, making a different within many communities.

Qualifications

Graduate of a recognized/accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography).

Current certification with Sonography Canada as required for the assigned practice area (such as, Generalist and/or Cardiac) and/or current certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as required for the assigned practice area (such as, Abdomen/Small Parts, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Cardiac, and/or Vascular) or be certified with Sonography Canada and have passed the Sonography Canada Skills Assessment (CCSA).

Eligible for membership with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS.
