About the Job
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
• Performs assessments and plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team; the scope or extent of the skills that the LPN performs varies according to the predictability of the outcome for a given client population
• Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures
• Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols
This is a Casual Opportunity. Casual means hours are not guaranteed and may vary and shifts may be at short notice. Casual employees are eligible to apply for internal postings including permanent and temporary positions. Effective April 1, 2024, the hourly wage for this position will be $32.84 to $41.35

The 100 Mile House Hospital is a 16 bed rural hospital, centrally located right in downtown 100 Mile House. It is surrounded by a vast about outdoor activity including lakes, hikes, biking and dirt bike trails, snow shoeing, downhill skiing skating rink. OMH offers Emergency, ACU/Chemo, Cysto and an acute care services in a very busy setting. We receive approximately 13,000 ER patients per year and consistently maintaining a high occupancy rate with a pediatric population of 1300 to 1500 patients annually in our ER.
Mill Site Lodge & Fischer Place, located in 100 Mile House, embodies a client-centered philosophy designed to support clients’ choices, help people function at their highest level, and provide the best quality of life possible. This facility has 79 private rooms, all equipped with ceiling lifts, and five short-stay beds, including one palliative care suite.
100 Mile House is situated in the scenic Cariboo region of British Columbia, brimming with serene beauty and a rich history. Outdoor enthusiasts can revel in a plethora of activities, from fishing and boating on nearby pristine lakes, such as Canim Lake or Horse Lake, to exploring lush forests teeming with wildlife. The self-proclaimed International Nordic Ski Capital boasts the world’s tallest pair of cross-country skis at the Visitor Centre and has one of the province’s most active Nordic clubs.
History buffs will delight in uncovering the town's past at the nearby 108 Mile House Historic Site, a highlight of the region, renowned for its lakeside heritage structures, notably the largest remaining log barn of its type in Canada. Qualifications
• Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses.
• Current full practicing licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Current CPR certification required. *Please upload a copy of your valid CPR certificate with your application*
• Current valid BC Driver’s License (required for community/home health positions only)
