Position Summary
We have a permanent, part-time (0.80 FTE) Clinical Dietitian opening in Williams Lake, B.C. This position works Tuesdays to Fridays 08:00 to 16:00 working in Cariboo Memorial Hospital’s Outpatient Care and Williams Lake Long-term Care. In addition travel is required to 100 Mile House once a week to support long-term care.

About the Position
This position supports outpatient care within a 29 inpatient bed hospital and long-term care facilities in Williams Lake and 100 Mile House. As the Clinical Dietitian, you will leverage your clinical expertise to deliver comprehensive nutrition services, including assessments, care planning, and monitoring. You'll work collaboratively with multidisciplinary care teams, providing counseling and education while serving as a vital resource for the community. Additionally, you'll advise food service staff on patient care issues and menu development, ensuring optimal nutrition for all clients.

About the Location
Cariboo Memorial Hospital is a key healthcare facility located in Williams Lake, B.C. serving as the primary hospital for the Cariboo-Chilcotin region. This hospital plays a critical role in providing essential medical services to a large, mostly rural population spread across Central British Columbia. The hospital offers a broad range of healthcare services: 24/7 emergency care, inpatient and surgical services, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, maternity services, outpatient care, and specialized services (i.e. support for patients with chronic conditions, mental health services, and rehabilitation care). A CMH redevelopment project is underway that includes an addition to the existing hospital as well as renovations to the existing facility.

Qualifications
• Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics.
• Successful completion of an accredited hospital based dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility).
• Full registration as a Registered Dietitian with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
• Two year’s of clinical nutrition experience in a health care environment or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience suitable to the facility or program is required.
• Practice specific requirements and experience in programs applicable to practice area such as: Diabetes Education, Nutrition Support, and Kidney and Chronic Disease Management Programs.
• Valid Driver’s License.
