Rehabilitation Assistants play a crucial part in carrying out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs and assisting therapists in monitoring and evaluating patients/residents’ progression. Operating within a client-centered approach and as an essential member of the rehabilitation team, you make a substantial contribution to the impact on progression of patient/resident needs and their rehabilitation journey.
This position includes Acute Care in-patient responsibilities at Princeton General Hospital and Long-Term Care responsibilities at Ridgewood Lodge. Princeton General Hospital is a Level 1 Community Hospital offering services including acute care, laboratory, and 24-hour emergency. Ridgewood Lodge is a one-storey seniors home with 37 private and semi-private rooms. Days of work are Monday through Friday. Shift times are 08:00 to 16:00 hours.
Within this role a Rehabilitation Assistant:
• Is encouraged to work at top of scope.
• Engages patients with regular therapeutic interventions.
• Has a huge impact on progression of patient needs and their rehab journey.
• Is an intrical member of the rehabilitation team.
• Is relied on to be the eyes and ears of the rehab team.

Qualifications
• Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program, or an internationally educated therapist who has the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
