Interior Health is seeking a reliable and flexible Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our Long-term Care team at SWAN VALLEY LODGE in beautiful CRESTON, B.C.

*Effective April 1, 2024, the hourly wage will be $41.42 to $55.91 per hour.
About the Job:
The Registered Nurse:
• Provides nursing care to Long-term Care patients, both by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
• Enhances quality of life for the patient and family; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers
• Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence based practice in nursing practice
• Maintains and advances own clinical competence
• Participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned
This is a RELIEF PART-TIME (0.81 FTE) OPPORTUNITY until January 05, 2025, or the return of the incumbent.
Shifts of work will be scheduled days, evenings, and nights; rotating from 07:30 to 15:12, 15:00 to 23:00, or 23:00 to 07:00 hours.
About this location/unit:
Swan Valley Lodge is a 90 bed facility including a maximum of 6 respite/convalescent beds and a 23 bed secured dementia unit. Our client-centred philosophy is designed to support clients’ choices, help people function at their highest level and provide the best quality of life possible.

Qualifications
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
• Post - basic education in gerontology an asset
