Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Position Summary

We are seeking to expand the Medical Imaging team at Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH) and invite applications from Nuclear Medicine Technologists.

Casual employment means work requirements can vary between Zero and 37.5 hours per week. Work will be available on a short-notice, on-call bases and/or blocks of shifts pre-scheduled to relieve leaves of absences. Shifts will be rotating day shifts with the hours being 06:30 to 14:30, 07:15 to 15:15, 08:00 to 16:00.

What Will You Work On? :
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Penticton Regional Hospital, you will work in a small, close knit, single camera department. You will work with a largely senior patient population performing inpatient and outpatient exams. Although you will be a part of a small department, you will serve a large geographic area and perform the entire scope of Nuclear Medicine practice. You will work with the latest technology on a Siemens Intevo Bold camera.

Effective April 01, 2024 – the hourly wage for Nuclear Medicine Techs will be $36.69 to $45.81

How Will We Help You Grow? :
New technologists are provided with hospital orientation and department training. Technologists are trained in pharmaceutical administration and Sentinel Lymph Node injections. As a small department, we foster an environment of teamwork and communication, making this an excellent department to grow into.

Qualifications

Successful completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program recognized by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).

Current certification with CAMRT.
